Alper Kaplan

👋 Hi, I’m Alper Kaplan I’m a Machine Learning Engineer and Data Scientist with almost a decade of experience across startups, research labs, and global tech companies. My work lives at the intersection of applied research and production engineering, specializing in scalable NLP, LLMs, and Generative AI systems.

I’ve built and deployed full-stack ML pipelines, from data collection and training to real-time inference, powering systems that reduced processing times by over 90% and served millions of assets. Whether it’s fine-tuning LoRA models for character cloning, building resume screening systems with LLMs, or optimizing NFT price prediction engines, I care deeply about delivering solutions that are both elegant and impactful.

I’m fluent in Python and PyTorch, and well-versed in modern ML stacks, cloud-native tools (AWS, Azure), and MLOps practices. I’ve mentored engineers, led ML teams, and published peer-reviewed research. Above all, I’m a builder who enjoys translating complex challenges into clear, maintainable, and performant systems.

Outside of work, I’m a triathlete and former powerlifter. I believe pushing physical boundaries teaches discipline that translates into engineering. I also occasionally write short stories, and play guitar, mandolin, and harmonica. Whether I’m debugging a pipeline or improvising a solo, I find joy in flow states.

If you’re working on an exciting ML project, building with GenAI, or just want to talk about bikes, Bach, or model drift, feel free to reach out. Let’s connect.
